Erzurum is a very rich city in the
northeast of Anatolia in terms of
Islamic buildings. Among many
mosques and medrese (thelogical
schools) the most attractive
building is the biggest medrese of
Anatolia, Cifte Minareli Medrese
(Double Minaret Medrese). Erzurum
become a part of the Ottoman land in
1523. Although it was occopaid by
Russians 3 times, it was rescued on
12th March 1918. Erzurum has the
largest skitrail of Turkey.
