BITLIS
Bitlis is known as an important tobacco and honey production center in
Turkey, located on a high plateau among the mountains with an altitude of
approximately 1400 meters.The town stands in a narrow strean valley in the
Eastern Anatolia right in the middle of a green oasis.It has a great location
for tobacco production.Suphan Mountain is within the border of Bitlis is the
third highest mountain in Turkey, with 4058 meters having forests and lakes that

when you drive 25 km north of Ahlat.
Tatvan is my favourite place in Bitlis in the west of Lake Van, is
a very attractive town that has a well protected port agaist the winds.There are
ferry boats from Tatvan port to Van wharf.Sailing around Akdamar Island will be
very enjoyable for you.In addition to this, the East Anatolia Fair that is
organised every year when many foreign people join this fair as well, brings a
distinctive liveliness to Tatvan.At that time, Tatvan is vividful and more
crowded different from other times.We can say that the city includes a city also
inside it.
Nemrut Mountain is a great place for mountaineers and nature lovers.Nemrut
has a cold and deep crater lake where you can have a chance to watch a
marvellous scene.It has still hot volcanic springs.
You can find nice beaches and resturants in Bitlis.You can have wonderful
